Love Day

Yesterday Tan and I celebrated Valentine’s Day with our three little loves.  We first started out our morning with hugs and kisses (we do that every morning) then the girls each exchanged gifts they got each other.  It was the sweetest thing!  Tan and I had taken the three girls shopping the day before and they each wanted to get the other something special with out them knowing it.  It was so funny watching each girl “tricking” the other one at the store.  Miss A wanted to buy Rockee and Fashionista their gift so she pulls me to the side, made an excuse to her sisters about wanting to help me shop. hahaha what she didn’t realize was that at the same moment my Rockstar had recruited Tan to help her buy something for Miss A and Fashionista as well.  So here is Tan and myself on opposite sides of the store helping our girls get the perfect gift for the sibling.  That’s when I realize that that’s what love is about.  It’s about showing your spouse, sibling, parent, etc how special they are to you.  No you don’t have to do it on Valentine’s Day and no it doesn’t have to cost a fortune, but the love that these girls feel for each other is a powerful thing.  Sunday morning when they each ran to their hiding spot and came back with gifts for each other, was wonderful.  It’s a moment I will never forget.  They were genuinely surprised and we’re so proud of themselves.  Tan and I are truly blessed to have the best children in the world.

After our their gift exchange, we all got ready to go to church.  After mass we went home and spent the rest of the day playing Wii games, watching movies and had a yummy lunch.  Later that day we all chipped in and made dinner, Grilled Hot Dogs and Fries!  The girls loved it and it was a fun, fast dinner.

Tan and I have always celebrated Valentine’s Day for a whole week (Sunday to Sunday) we make dinner, give small gifts that we’ve made or just do extra special things all week.  We love having our traditions and are especially happy that we can celebrate our traditions with the girls. ~
